Our History

Upon planning their own wedding in 2006, directors Cem and Ann noticed a significant gap in Sydney’s Event Market. Their ideal wedding included an elegant Champagne Service served to their guests after their ceremony at Bradleys Head (North Sydney), in additional they required a simple decoration package that would complement the natural location, without detracting from the surrounds- unfortunately this desire proved to be an expensive combination between catering companies and decorating companies.

Cem and Ann believe every Wedding and Event should be personalised to suit the couple or client, and their own was no exception. After not finding a suitable company- They opted to start their own! Obviously not wanting to solely to rely on friends themselves, they began offering this service to other brides looking for similar services. With Anns easy going nature, and being a bride herself she showed genuine care and interest in each bride that was referred to her. Cem, as a full time Mechatronics engineer, began taking request for any specific decorative items that clients couldn’t find elsewhere. Thus our Directing duo team was born!

The company initially relied on Word of Mouth marketing and past client referrals. Today, the large remaining amount of referrals from existing clients, prove to be distinguishing reference for the company’s success and event outcomes. Expanding into corporate and large scale wedding styling, Harbourside Decorators is a sister company to Outdoor Wedding Aisles.

Cem Erdogan

Director/ Event Engineer

Cem studied Mechatronics Engineering and worked for some of Sydney’s leading Engineering firms for 8 years. Upon his engagement to Ann, he started Outdoor Wedding Aisles as a small side business. Due to the overwhelming growth and popularity of the business, and of course Cems natural ability to design, build and fix anything imaginable. He became the full time Production Manager of both Outdoor Wedding Aisles and Harbourside Decorators. Being an engineer at heart, Cem is meticulous with detail and quality, he inspects every design and product before commencement or setup- thus ensuring only the best is delivered to our clients.

Ann Erdogan

Managing Director/ Production & Logistics

Ann originally studied a Bachelor of Agricultural Science at Sydney University before working as an IVF Scientist. Never imagining she would work in the Events Industry however, after originally starting Outdoor Wedding Aisles and Harbourside Decorators as a bride herself, Ann brings an abundance of personal experiences and pivotal information to each bride that comes to us. Ann continues to be the most easy-going and friendly person, with her enthusiasm to deliver memorable events often becoming infectious to surrounding clients and suppliers.

Ally Stirling

Office Manager & Event Coordinator

Ally joins the team with over a decade of hospitality and events experience. She completed a Diploma in Events Management at the Hotel School Sydney in 2008 followed by an internship at Sheraton on the Park, continuing on to become Events Supervisor at Doltone House in 2017.

Ally understand the needs and requirements of the day to ensure its one to remember.

Kelly Baines

Event Coordinator and Creative Assistant

Studying administration and computing in New Zealand, organisation and time management, Kelly is a bubbly administration specialist with over 10 years experience in customer service and sales.

Luillya Pavlova Carrero Rojas

Quality Control Manager

Luillya joined the Harbourside team in 2016 as a warehouse assistant quickly working her way up to becoming a manager. Luillya now manages quality control of all table decor and settings to ensure they’re perfect and ready to go for each event.
